Comments: This 22 year-old student was primarily interested in liposuction of her body, but also chose to have the extra fat under her chin treated simultaneously. She is seen one year later.

Comments: This patient had the excess fat under her chin treated at the same time as liposuction of her body. An inherited fat pad under the chin can make people look overweight, even when they aren’t. Fortunately, the problem is very amenable to correction. Removal of even a small amount of extra fat has a very pleasing effect. Many patients have told me that they are as happy with the results of fat removal under the chin as they are with liposuction of the body because the results are so visible. Friends often ask if they’ve lost weight.

Comments: This patient had several procedures and was happiest with the submental lipectomy, because it produced the most visible enhancement in her appearance, helping to highlight her excellent jaw structure. She received more compliments on her appearance after surgery. Still a little overweight, she was aware that even a modest weight loss would make her result even better.

Comments: This patient had excessive fullness of the dorsum and supratip area. She also had a scar deformity of the upper lip, sustained in a fall onto a sidewalk the year before. To further enhance her profile, a submental lipectomy was done simultaneously.
