Some people suffer from
Body Dysmorphic Syndrome which is a condition characterized by excessive concern for a body part beyond what might be considered reasonable, such that it consumes an inordinate amount of the patient’s time and interferes with their normal activities of daily life. The patient is not only disappointed with the surgical result, but also blames the surgeon and feels victimized. All busy cosmetic surgeons have encountered such patients. They are not good candidates for cosmetic surgery.
