Comments: This 28-year-old Polynesian-American was born in Hawaii. He thought his face looked too chubby, even though he was lean. He first underwent trimming of his buccal fat pads to reduce cheek fullness. At a second operation two years later, he underwent a rhinoplasty to provide more length to the nose using cartilage harvested from his ears. A chin implant was used simultaneously to improve his profile. He also underwent upper blepharoplasties between operations performed by another surgeon. He now has a more chiseled profile.

Comments: This patient had been self-conscious about his small chin. He had the negative synergy of a small chin and submental fat. His profile is now balanced. Fat injection was used to treat his smile creases, frown line, and fill out his cheeks.
